Key & Peele Sign On for ‘Keanu’

Key & Peele go Hollywood

Key & Peele’s First Joint Feature Film Is About a Cat

Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele are going from President Obama spoofs to drug dealers with heart. The knee-slapping duo that made it big off Comedy Central’s Key & Peele sketch series has the go on its first joint feature film, titled Keanu. The film, which was picked up by New Line Cinema, will feature two friends who go into disguise as hustlers in an attempt to rescue a stolen cat. “The movie should resonate with a large audience, as almost everyone has had a house pet stolen by a street gang, right?” says Peele of Keanu, which goes into production in Los Angeles next spring. It’s only one of a handful of potential projects Key and Peele are considering; they’ve been in talks about a Police Academy reboot, a Judd Apatow feature film and a spinoff of Key & Peele’s popular character, Mr. Garvey.

Co-Hosts for Tyra Banks’s The F.A.B. Talk Show Announced

America’s Next Top Model creator and judge Tyra Banks is returning to daytime TV in 2015. But she won’t be alone when ABC-Disney’s The F.A.B. hits in fall 2015. The first Black Sports Illustrated model, Tyra will be joined by fellow supermodel (and John Legend’s wife) Chrissy Teigen, along with former designer Lauren Makk, Elle creative director Joe Zee, and YouTube sensation Leah Ashley. Of the new show—an acronym for “Fun and Beautiful”—Tyra says: “The fire to inspire women and help them to blaze new paths fiercely burns inside of me. I’m excited to be partnering with Disney-ABC to usher in a new era of lifestyle, beauty and entertainment that will inspire women to be the CEO of their lives via honesty, humor and the newest tips and tricks without being intimidating or precious.”

Jason Derulo Says He Will “100 Percent” Write Songs About Jordin Sparks Breakup

Sadly, 2014 has been a year full of celebrity breakups. Which has (for better or worse) found its way onto your iTunes playlists. The next fallout likely to dribble onto wax: Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks’s dissolution. The singing couple, which had been dating for three years, called the whole thing off last month. And now that sparks are no longer flying between the two, Jason says he’s “100 percent” going to write songs about the fizzled relationship.

“My creativity, my personality, won’t allow me to separate the two,” the 25-year-old singer told Billboard, of the connection between his artistry and real-life situations. “I have to put it on paper, put it on wax, put it in my songs… If that’s what’s going on in my life, that’s in the songs I make as well.” While we don’t expect the amicable break-up to musically reflect the petty ire of Big Sean’s “IDFWU” or Wiz Khalifa and Future’s “P*ssy Is Overrated,” maybe we’ll finally get a Jason Derulo album a bit deeper than just dance tracks.
