Meek Mill Ethers Himself With Weak Drake Dis “Wanna Know”

Meek Mill watch has finally ended. The Philly rapper has finally responded to Drake after missing his own dis track deadline by 72 hours. And sadly for Meek supporters, it left much to be desired. Funkmaster Flex debuted the track last night on New York City’s Hot 97 moments after posting reference tracks to three Drake songs (“Know Yourself,” “Used To” and “R.I.C.O.”) on his own site.

Meek’s dis, titled “Wanna Know,” focuses on the ghostwriting accusations, chin-checks Nicki Minaj’s ex Safaree Samuels and ends with a curious line about one of T.I.’s friends urinating on someone in a movie theater.

Anyways, Black Twitter and regular boring Twitter were lit well into booty call hours, with slander and memes targeted at the underwhelming response. At least one hamburger restaurant and one porn company took swipes at Meek. Meanwhile Ja Rule, whose battle with 50 Cent is referenced in the closing line, added his two cents, asking “Which one supposed to be Ja Rule?” Joe Budden, who said he’s 170 bars deep on his own dis to Meek, disarmed, saying he feels bad for the guy. Drake’s reply was merely a photo of himself and associate Chubbs laughing. That’s what you call a photo finish.

At this point, it’s just speculation, but in any case we’ll see if Jigga can bounce back like roundball.

50 Cent Says Power Is Killing of a Major Character By Season’s End

Power seems to get more exciting by the week, but 50 Cent has boosted anticipation for the show’s season finale to new heights. The show’s executive producer, who also plays Kanan, has suggested that a major character will die as the season finale wraps. Ironically, a death in this chapter of Power would mirror the demise of Vernon (Malik Yoba) on Empire’s last episode. Fif hasn’t been shy about his opinion that Empire bit his own show’s marketing and plot points, but that’s none of our business. Perhaps Power’s season two finale will be titled, “Get Power or Die Tryin.’ ”
