Will Smith Keeps Jaden Away from the Kardashians?

It’s been almost a year since Jaden Smith first started getting his swirl on with Kylie Jenner, the youngest daughter of Bruce and Kris Kardashian-Jenner. A close friend of the Smith family told The National Enquirer that Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have been trying to persuade their little anti-schooler to stay away from the K-clan, believing that helicopter mom Kris is using him and his family’s name to stay in the spotlight. The source claims the karate kid has been fly-kicking his parents with defiance, being that he’s all in (puppy) love. The more they try to keep him away, the more he gets tangled up in Kylie’s (and Kris’s) web. So I guess we shouldn’t be surprised if we see Jaden on the next season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Prince Files $22 Million Lawsuit Against Facebook and Blogger Users

Prince plays no games when it comes to his purple rain. Twenty-two Facebook and Google Blogger users had to find that out the hard way. The Purple One is suing 22 defendants for ripping off his live shows by illegally sharing them via the online platforms (a.k.a. bootlegging his ish!). He’s demanding that each culprit cough up a mill, pay his lawyer fees, and run any extra money they’ve acquired from his music, insisting they return all “unlawful materials” to their originator. Lesson of the day: never try to rip off an old-school playa who went after YouTube and eBay for jocking his jams back in the day.

Nas Honored at Vibe’s Second Annual Impact Awards

There are not too many MCs who’ve lasted as long as Nas and influenced the entire hip-hop culture in the process. That’s why the veteran rap giant was honored at Vibe’s second annual Impact Awards this past Friday. Everyone from J. Cole and Busta Rhymes to Swizz Beatz, Keyshia Cole and Elle Varner came through to help Nasty Nas celebrate the honor. Even his eldest seed, Destiny Jones, was there to cheer on her pops, who was looking like a real don in his jiggy green Tom Ford blazer. (Swag!) Let’s give a round of applause to this young man for his contributions to the music world and maintaining his relevance 20 years later. Congratulations Nas!
