Just days after Bobby Brown filed a lawsuit against TV One for their upcoming Bobbi Kristina biopic, her estate has joined the singer in suing the network.

They believe the movie violates Bobbi’s right to privacy, which they claim even survives her death, according to TheJasmineBrand.

Both the New Edition member and his late daughter’s estate are seeking over $2M in combined damages, alleging that the film contains “untrue” scenes that portray Brown as neglectful and unloving towards his deceased daughter.

It also contains scenes that show him being abusive towards late ex-wife, Whitney Houston, in front of Bobbi.

The 48-year-old entertainer went on to allege that production obtained footage from his 2004 reality show, Being Bobby Brown, and used it in the film without his expressed permission.

In addition to damages, both parties are pushing a judge to block the October 8th airing of the film.

TV One released this statement to TJB:

“We are aware of the reported legal challenge by Bobby Brown regarding the film Bobbi Kristina and are taking appropriate steps on behalf of our network to respond. While we are not able to address our legal response at this time, we stand by the film and its representation of this period in Bobbi Kristina’s life.”
