Chance The Rapper is making his rounds. The latest Ebony magazine cover star recently teamed up with Twitter for their #SeeEverySide television ad campaign.

The commercial begins with Chance on stage during soundcheck as he preps for his performance. Before hitting the stage, he asks fans if they have any request via Twitter. This creates a domino effect as the message is carried across excited fans, supporters, concert attendees and the like.

The beauty of social media lies in it’s real-time connection and Chance was barraged with an overflow of feedback, some not even relative to the topic at hand. Like one student, who thanked him for donating money to Chicago Public Schools. Others weren’t as positive, like the fan who claimed the Chicago Rapper is “overhyped.”

David Crosby also makes a guest appearance asking Chance to perform “any song with real instruments.” Later, he follows up with “I could up your game.” After reading, Chance rides his bike onto the stage.

Chance’s authentic use of Twitter is powerful as is his fandom and the conversation that surrounds him,” said Twitter CMO Leslie Berland on the Chicago MC’s participation in the ad and their aim to highlight the voices of their users. “We spotlight the voices of fans, press, influencers and artists—every side of the conversation—at the speed of Twitter.” Users can expect more ads featuring their favorite influencers in the future.
