Chance the Rapper continued his partnership with Lyft as an undercover driver and shocked fans during the latest episode of Undercover Lyft.
The 25-year-old rapper “disguised” himself and drove passengers around Chicago explaining how easy it is to give back to Chicago Public Schools (CPS) by rounding up their fares. Through Chance’s SocialWorks organization the difference is given to the New Chance Fund.
He dropped clues to his identity with lyrics from his songs. The “Blessings” rapper also hilariously asked riders about their thoughts on his music in comparison to other rappers including Kendrick Lamar.
“Together, Lyft and I have been giving back with Round Up & Donate for SocialWorks’ New Chance Fund. Now, we’re having some fun in my hometown, Chicago, as I go undercover as a Lyft driver. I hope this video encourages even more folks to give back just by taking a Lyft,” Chance said in a press release obtained by EBONY.com.
Readers nationwide can round up and donate to SocialWorks by following the link at the end of the video below. The ride-sharing app will automatically round up each fare.
Through his nonprofit Chance has raised more than $4.2 million for CPS.
