According to The Hollywood Reporter (THR), Trevor Noah has signed a multiyear deal with Viacom that will give the company first-looks rights to television and film properties by The Daily Show host.

Viacom, which owns Comedy Central, and Noah have created an international production and distribution company called Day Zero Productions.

The first project from the deal will be the film adaptation of Noah’s memoir Born a Crime, which will star Lupita Nyong’o.

“I’ve found a strong and incredibly valuable partnership in Viacom,” Noah told THR. “Our shared vision of bringing diverse cultural conversations and exciting creative projects to the forefront of the entertainment industry and to our constantly expanding audience, continues to strengthen our relationship. I couldn’t be more excited to share Born a Crime with Paramount and the very talented Lupita Nyong’o.”
