Yet another celebrity is tired of the public assuming a couple of extra pounds means pregnancy: Erykah Badu is denying whispers that she is pregnant with her fourth child.
Fans of the Dallas singer began asking about her potentially being with child after she uploaded a video to Instagram Tuesday. In the clip, Badu can be seen wearing an oversized outfit while striking a few poses in a parking lot, lifting her shirt and rubbing her belly twice.
Soon after, several media outlets began to report the singer could possibly be pregnant by rapper Ishmael Butler of Shabazz Palaces. Today, the “Window Seat” songstress made it clear she isn’t, asking fans why they always assume that she is around this time of year.
“Fam, chill. Ain’t nobody shoot up the club, ok?” Badu clarified. “Why I got to be pregnant every holiday season? 🤣just. Stop. Y’all trying to say I’m fat? Y’all say this sh*t every fall. I just be a little hungrier than usual come late October…Now y’all got us in here arguing over baby names.”

Badu can next be seen, sans baby bump, at the Soul Train Awards, where she is set to receive the 2018 Legend Award. This should come as no surprise for R&B fans; the singer not only birthed a new generation of artists—many of whom have been nominated – but she has also held down hosting duties for the show since 2015.
