Will Smith has all but killed hope of a Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reboot, saying the only way it would work would be for him to step in as the new Uncle Phil.

While chances of the original plotline making a comeback are slim, a spin-off titled The Fresh Princess could be on the way! TMZ reports the company that owns the rights to “Fresh Prince” has filed new paperwork to trademark “Fresh Princess” for television and several other media platforms.

There is no word on whether Smith will be involved in the possible reboot.

Yet another famous #90s sitcom maybe coming back to your t.v. screens real soon. According to #tmz the show that’s famous for elevating former rapper now actor #willsmith career may comeback but with a twist! Instead of the #freshprince we’ll have a #freshprincess . The site reports that the company who owns the rights to the trademark #freshprince has filed to trademark fresh princess for a television program and other media platforms. Along with that they also want to trademark merchandise like #footwear, #clothing, #backpacks and #bags. There’s no one if Will Smith or other cast members of the famous sitcom will get involved with the reboot but we can only hope so. In a previous interview on the #grahamnorton show Smith was asked how close is he to participating in a reboot and he responded with “pretty close to when hell freezes over.” How do you guys feel?
