After dropping I Used To Know Her: The Prelude early this year, R&B songstress H.E.R. followed it up with surprise sequel, I Used To Know Her: Part 2. The singer is now blessing fans with a visual from standout track “Could’ve Been,” featuring fellow vocalist Bryson Tiller.

The video features the pair contemplating the future of their relationship as both lovers and friends. The sultry melody is matched perfectly with director Lacey Duke’s slow moving shots, adding a mixture of black-and-white and color-saturated frames. Fans who’ve been waiting to see the “Focus” singer without shades are also in for a pleasant surprise; there are  shots of her face throughout. Still, Duke is able to use the magic of lighting and camera techniques to keep much of H.E.R.’s mystery intact.

The new video drops one week after H.E.R. was announced as the most nominated artist for the 2018 Soul Train Awards, leading the pack with seven nominations.

She’s followed by “Finesse” collaborators Bruno Mars and Cardi B, who both received six nominations each. Close behind is TDE songstress SZA with five nods; Ella Mai and Daniel Caeser garnered four nods each.
