We didn’t think that anything could get any funnier than the great Yahoo mistake of last week. But, the Golden Globes has proved us wrong. Hailed as one of the biggest nights in the entertainment industry, it looks like there were certain people who missed their mark.
While interviewing Pharrell Williams, a producer on the film Hidden Figures, Today correspondent Jenna Bush Hager made the mistake of referring to the moving as “Hidden Fences,” obviously confusing two of the biggest Black movies of 2016 AND 2017. And the mistake KEPT happening throughout the show, thanks to Michael Keaton.
As a people, what do we do when our counterparts give us lemons? We make lemonade, tea, and grape juice and turn it into comedy. Enter the hashtags, #HiddenFences and #GoldenGlobeErrors, where Black Twitter made fun of the Golden Globe’s massive mistakes.
