Choreographing and playing lead to a dancing troupe of vivacious booty poppers for a near-perfect reimagining of the most famous scene from Gene Kelly’s Singing in the Rain might seem an unimaginable task for even your boldest YouTube stunt-master. But for Todrick Hall—actor, singer, choreographer and former American Idol semi-finalist—this feat is all in a day’s twerk.

Hall’s stint on Idol’s ninth season was plum exposure that the 29-year-old smartly seized upon, going on to launch his own hilarious, hella popular YouTube channel. There (and over on whatthefunny.com), a mélange of “Todriculous” video titles beckon for your bored-at-work viewing, including the “McDonald’s Drive-Thru Song,” “If Disney Princesses Were Black,” “All That Azz” (Bob Fosse’s classic “All That Jazz” diced up, shredded and julienned for laughs) and a tightly choreographed flashmob video (at a random Target, no less) for Beyoncé’s “End of Time.” (That last has been viewed over 12-million times and even air-kissed in a thank you video by the singer herself.)

Last year, Todrick’s LGBT-positive musical comedy shenanigans and YouTube mega-star status caught the ravenous attention of MTV’s reality TV industrial complex, which has created an unscripted series for Hall, chronicling him and his motley troupe in action. As we anxiously await the series’ debut later this year, we still have “Twerkin’ in the Rain” to keep us LOL-ing the day away.

Press play on this national treasure, and join Todrick Hall’s enormous following of “Toddlerz” on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, his website and at his fab-funny YouTube channel
