Aspiring DJs from around the world should get their 1s and 2s ready. Actress/singer Jada Pinkett-Smith and mogul Simon Cowel team up to produce an international televised talent search for the next great DJ.

The show will be produced jointly by Cowell’s Syco Entertainment and Pinkett-Smith’s production company, Overbrook, which she runs with her husband, Will.

"DJ's are the new rock stars, it feels like the right time to make this show," Cowell, 52, said in a statement. "This show will comb the world to find a new breed of talent," Pinkett-Smith, 40, added. “I am happy to be creating it alongside Simon Cowell, the Sony team, and my partner Miguel Melendez, on behalf of the Overbrook family.”

The pair is partnering with Sony Pictures Television, who has yet to reveal the broadcast outlet to air the untitled show.
Cowell, the reality music contest veteran, who’s responsible for launching the careers of contestants from American Idol, Got Talent, and X Factor franchises, has reportedly been planning to showcase DJs for some time.
