Jay Z has finally decided what to do about his now-controversial holiday promo deal with Barneys, which is under fire for alleged racial profiling. The rapper is keeping his partnership with the luxury retailer, but now all proceeds (instead of just a portion) will go to his charity. He was under pressure to cut ties with the store, which, along with Macy’s, is being investigated by the New York attorney general’s office over accusations of targeting African Americans.

In a statement on his Web site Friday, Jay Z announced that he’s continuing the partnership with Barneys (a deal that includes selling products “inspired by Jay Z”), as well as taking “a leadership role” on a council that focuses on racial profiling issues.
