Rapper Juelz Santana has been indicted on two federal gun charges for allegedly trying to bring a loaded gun onto a plane at Newark Liberty International Airport, according to USA Today. The Harlem native is reported to have fled the scene on March 9 after a .38-caliber handgun, two live rounds and oxycodone pills were found in his carry-on bag.

Santana did not turn himself into authorities for three days. The rapper born LaRon James was indicted Wednesday on federal charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and trying to carry a weapon on an airplane. The 36-year-old faces a maximum of up to 10 years in prison for each charge. He had previously entered a not guilty plea on a drug possession charge and two state weapons charges.

After surrendering to police on March 12, the rapper spent a month in jail before posting bail. At the beginning of April, Santana was released to the custody of his mother; the judge instructed he was not to reside with his girlfriend Kimbella while out on bail.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the rapper’s arraignment is scheduled for May 10.
