Michael Jackson's mother Katherine Jackson was reported missing early Sunday, but has since been declared safe by her son Jermaine. A tweet sent by Paris Jackson, Michael's 14 year-old daughter, on Sunday first alerted the public of Katherine's absence. She requested help with locating her grandmother, who is also the guardian of her and her brothers.
Katherine had been declared missing by the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department until later that Sunday when her son Jermaine reportedly informed the authorities and press that his mother was simply "resting up" with family in Arizona. Although authorities have yet to speak with Katherine to confirm her son's claim, they have been continuing to do so, according to sources. Seeing as how Michael's three children are minors, there is still the issue of who will take care of them in her indefinite absence.
