After dropping the melancholy “Push,” Kenny Lattimore returns with an accompanying video.
Directed by Dale “Rage” Resteghini, the clip arrives as the visual counterpart to the song’s storyline, which tells a tale of a man who prematurely pushes away the love of his life. Set in Malibu, California, actress and TV/radio personality Claudia Jordan makes a cameo as Kenny’s leading lady. “When I heard ‘Push,’ it just felt like I was breaking out of a box mentally,” shared Lattimore. “The sound doesn’t conform. One of the things that I did think about was staying true to myself. We wanted to create something contemporary and timeless.”
“Push” is the first single from Lattimore’s ninth studio album Vulnerable, which follows 2015’s Anatomy of a Love Song. The project is slated to hit the shelves October 13. In the meantime, check out the video below.
