Kenya Moore’s dream of becoming a mother came true over the weekend: The reality star gave birth to a daughter, Brooklyn Doris Daly, in an emergency c-section.

The 47-year-old revealed that she was due for an early delivery Sunday night, posting a photo of herself in bed awaiting the arrival of baby Daly.

“If you want to make God laugh have a plan… won’t be long now,” the caption read. “Pray for us.”

Hours later, Moore shared a screenshot of a People magazine headline confirming she’d given birth.

“She’s so perfect and strong! Marc was incredible in the deliver room,” the caption read. “I lost a lot of blood so I’m very weak but they both were strong for me. God is so good. We are blessed and doing well. My heart is so full at the abundance of love for our family! We love you all.#TheDalys #babydaly #BrooklynDaly #family #love.”

The name Brooklyn Doris holds special meaning for Moore and her husband, Marc Daly. The pair met in Brooklyn, New York, and Doris is the first name of Moore’s late grandmother, Doris Grant.

People reports Moore underwent an emergency cesarean section due to preeclampsia, “a pregnancy complication that caused her to gain 17 lbs. in ONE week due to severe swelling and water retention, high blood pressure, and excess protein in urine.”

Due to these complications, Brooklyn was born weeks before her Thanksgiving Day due date. Fortunately for the Dalys, their bundle of joy is doing just fine, and is “very alert and active,” People reports.

Congratulations to the Dalys!
