Kim Porter has been found dead in her Los Angeles-area home. She was 47.

TMZ reports police received a call from Porter’s Toluca Lake home around noon on Thursday. Emergency dispatch audio indicates Porter may have been suffering from cardiac arrest.

Porter had reportedly been suffering from flulike symptoms, and possibly pneumonia, for several weeks, but her official cause of death has yet to be determined. She reportedly called her doctor shortly before her passing complaining that she wasn’t feeling any better.

In addition to being known as a model and actress, Porter is the ex-girlfriend of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. Together, they share son Christian, 20; and twin daughters, Jessie James and D’Lila, 12. Porter also has a son, Quincy, 27, from her previous relationship with Al B. Sure!.

Porter and daughters Jessie James and D’Lila also appeared on the cover of JET magazine in 2008.

“Kim is an incredible mother to our children,” Diddy said in the magazine at the time. “We’ve been part of each other’s lives for many years and I have always admired her courage and strength. We’re the best of friends.”

Linda Johnson, chairman of EBONY, expressed her condolences to Porter’s family.

“So very sad to learn the sudden passing of Kim Porter…to the Porter/Combs family,” she wrote on Instagram.
