Celtics’ Kyrie Irving was among a group of professional athletes who were at Harvard University on Monday, according to the Bleacher Report. The group was on campus for the start of Crossover Into Business, a semester-long program at Harvard designed to help players develop their business acumen.

Professor Anita Elberse teaches the program. The university’s website says the program better prepares sports players for “business activities during and after their active sports careers.”

Irving is enrolled in the fall semester program alongside Brooklyn Nets’ Spencer Dinwiddie, Denver Nuggets’ Paul Millsap, Detroit Pistons’ Zaza Pachulia and former Patriot Martellus Bennet. Each athlete is matched with student mentors from the MBA program. These mentors “empower them to make better business decisions, all in a way that fits the athletes’ busy lives, is tailored to their interests, and leverages the acclaimed Harvard Business School case method.”

Last summer, Irving took steps to broaden his brand and appeal. He starred as Uncle Drew, a character developed for Pepsi, in a feature film of the same name. The NBA superstar also showcased his singing ability on the soundtrack.
