On Tuesday, the LeBron James Family Foundation hosted at-risk youth of the I Promise program and their families at Cedar Point, an amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio, for the annual We Are Family reunion.

The day is set up to welcome the new families into the program, which sets out to positively affect the lives of children and young adults through education and co-curricular educational initiatives. Many relatives were out to support the 3rd graders who started school in July at the newly opened I Promise School.

According to Cleveland.com, more than 9,000 individuals including LeBron James and his mother, Gloria James, gathered for the To the Beach-themed event and were granted free admission to the amusement park and received from lunch.

At the end of the night, LeBron spoke to the attendees about community and moving forward together. “We got over 9,000 people here. We’re all family. We want you guys to know that we are [your] extended family and we’re going to continue to do this together. This is one of the best nights for us, for all of us, but especially for all of us, our foundation.”
