NBA Champions LeBron James and Kevin Durant stopped by ESPN’s Uninterrupted to talk NBA All-Star Weekend, social justice and politics.
When host Cari Champion asked the pair about politics and race, however, their comments left some right-wing media personalities very upset.
“[The point person] is someone who doesn’t understand the people, and really don’t give a f*ck about the people,” said James when discussing President Donald Trump. “I never felt like I could be president of the United States, but I grabbed inspiration from that. And this time right now, with the president of the United States, it’s at a bad time.”
James previously chastised the president in September, calling him a “bum” after Trump attacked Stephen Curry over not wanting to visit the White House.

Durant likened the president to a coach and America as his team.
“I learned a lot of life skills playing basketball,” said Durant. “You need that power of people, you need to encourage people and that’s what builds a great team. And I feel like our team as a country is not ran by a great coach.”
James and Durant’s comments did not go unnoticed by Fox News host Laura Ingraham, who on her show “The Ingraham Angle,” said the two were running their mouths and that James’ comments were “barely intelligible” and “ungrammatical” after he spoke about his experiences with racism.
“This is what happens when you attempt to leave high school a year early to join the NBA,” Ingraham said. “Millions elected Trump to be their coach. Keep the political commentary to yourself or as someone just said, ‘shut up and dribble.’”
Social media users were not feeling Ingraham’s comments, saying James had as much right to talk about politics as she does.
She says LeBron should not comment on politics because no one voted for him.
