The London-based Kingdom Choir garnered the international attention of millions with their performance at the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on May 19. The chorale secured a record deal with Sony Music on Tuesday, reports the New York Post.

The more than 20-year-old choir sang a rendition of Ben E King’s “Stand By Me,” during the wedding ceremony. Their version of the song debuted at No. 1 on the US Hot Gospel Songs chart on June 2, according to Billboard. It will also be featured on their debut studio album that is slated to be released globally in November.

Karen Gibson, the choir leader, expressed the group’s joy over the new deal. “We are absolutely over the moon, delighted, it’s a dream,” she said. “We’re all so excited.”

She continued, “We really didn’t expect that and we really just thought that we would have a lovely time at the wedding and maybe have a bit of a platform, but then this happens. I would never have thought it in a million years.”
