Solo: A Star Wars Story isn’t even out yet, and talk about a spin-off featuring Donald Glover’s character is already heating up.

Kathleen Kennedy, president of LucasFilms, said in an interview with Premiere France that she hopes there will be a spin-off starring Glover as Lando Calrissian, according to io9.

‘We would love to tell a story about Lando Calrissian one day, but it’s not relevant, it would be fun to tell the story of Han and Chewie …’”

Solo: A Star Wars Story will be Disney’s second standalone Star Wars film, following 2016’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

The star has had an incredible year. He won two Emmys for his work on Atlanta, and he just had his first No. 1  hit as his musical alter ego, Childish Gambino, on the Billboard Hot 100, “This Is America.”

Glover has said he’s always wanted to play Calrissian, a role originally played by Billy Dee Williams in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, and he may get his wish.

According to CBR.com, he said, “When I heard they were making these, I told my agent, ‘If they’re making anything with Lando in it, I have to be Lando,’”
