It wasn’t long ago when hip-hop celebrated the release of Philly MC Meek Mill from prison after an 8-month stint on gun and drug charges. Unfortunately, it looks like the culture will have to say farewell once again, as the Wins & Losses rapper has just been sentenced to another 2-4 years for parole violation.

USA Today reports Robert Rameek Williams was sentenced by Common Pleas Judge Genece Brinkley after almost a decade of back and forth between them. The judge claimed to be insulted by the spitter ignoring her past warnings.

“I’ve been trying to help you since 2009,” Brinkley said, citing a failed drug test, failure to comply with a court order restricting his travel and two other unrelated arrests. “You basically thumbed your nose at me.”

Mill was arrested on reckless endangerment charges in New York City this August, accused of riding an illegal dirt bike and posting a clip of it on Instagram. In March, the “Dreams & Nightmares” artist was arrested for fighting at a St. Louis airport, both of which violated his parole.

His response was that while he admittedly made a few mistakes along the way, he never meant to offend his honor.

“I may have made a mistake but I never had the intention of disrespecting you,” he said, claiming that he is battling an addition to prescription painkiller Percocet and worries his career will be over if locked up once again.

Still, the judge went against the prosecutor’s recommendation of no prison time, with several of Meek’s celebrity friends believing the sentence to be unfair.
