Mel B previously accused her soon-to-be ex-husband Stephen Belafonte of physically abusing her throughout their union, and now claims he  drugged her on a regular basis as well.

The former Spice Girl claimed she was drugged “much to most” of her relationship during an out-of-court testimony in Los Angeles ahead of their divorce trial, Sky News reported.

“Miss Brown now takes the position she was drugged by Mr. Belafonte throughout the course of the marriage,” Belafonte’s lawyer Philip Cohen said. He went on to call the accusations “a smear campaign” against the movie producer.

Later, Belefonte claimed Brown has suffered from cocaine and alcohol addiction, describing it as a “major issue” in their marriage. He also said the singer “wiped out” her mass fortune from her Spice Girls days leading an “extravagant” lifestyle.”

The couple wed in a June 2007 Las Vegas ceremony, with the America’s Got Talent judge filing for divorce in March of this year. A trial on the domestic violence allegations has been delayed and will now begin on November 6th, ahead of the full divorce case.

Meanwhile, the star recently revealed her father’s death gave her the “clarity and strength” to get her life “on the right track.”

She shared via Instagram, “The pain of losing my daddy is beyond anyone could ever understand, but in the mist of all my raw emotions and pain of his passing he gave me the clarity and strength to set my life on the right track. And I’m sooo thankful of this awakening from March 4th when he died.”
