Sartorial splendor and “melanin magic” was in full effect at the ninth annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic (VCPC), Los Angeles. Hosted at the gorgeous Will Rogers State Park in Pacific Palisades, VCPC is an event that brings together lovers of polo, fashion, fun and fizz from all over the U.S.

Guests were treated to a gorgeous day filled with fun events and activities such as life-sized board games; a deejay spinning hits that made guests want to shake a little somethin’; delicious picnic baskets and food trucks for dining alfresco; and an exciting match of polo hosted and played by internationally renown professional polo couple Nacho Figueras and Delfina Blaquier.

And, of course, there was the opportunity to sip Veuve Clicquot champagne to one's heart’s content.

As a champagne blogger (@thebubbleista) and bubbly expert, it’s a no-brainer why I love this event. In fact, this is the fourth year I’ve traveled to LA from Texas to attend (there are General Admission and Rosé Garden ticket options–I always grab a Rosé Garden ticket). But other than the excitement of the polo match itself, the other reason to love this event is all of the fabulous fashions.

For the uninitiated, the event is well known for being a superstylish affair with guests rocking their most fashionable attire—think plaid prints, floral frocks and suits, bow ties, chic fascinators and chapeaux and eclectic ensembles.

Don’t believe me? Just watch. Well, maybe not “watch,” but rather take a look for yourself and check out the photos above featuring some of the most gorgeous outfits at the event.
