Michael Smith has taken Jemele Hill’s lead and has left ESPN’s Sportscenter, the network confirmed to outlets on Friday.

Smith has hosted the 6 p.m. edition of Sportscenter alone since Hill left the program in February to work for another network program called The Undefeated.

Hill has courted controversy with ESPN in the past. In September she called President Donald Trump a white supremacist on Twitter and was suspended by the network after criticizing Dallas Cowboy owner Jerry Jones.

There is no word on who will replace Smith, but his last show is March 9, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Norby Williamson, ESPN’s executive vice president, confirmed Smith’s departure with USA Today Sports.

“Michael is a talented commentator and we greatly appreciate and value his contributions and creativity,” Williamson said in a statement. We are in the process of discussing with him potential next ESPN assignments.”

The show is expected to be hosted by different anchors until a replacement is found, according to reports.
