O.J. Simpson has just landed his first job since being released from prison last October, and his first feature film role since he was found not guilty of murdering Nicole Brown-Simpson and Ron Goldman.

The former NFL baller has landed a small part in a new movie by British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, best known for playing the irreverent fictional character, Borat. Fox News reports Simpson will be paid more than $20,000 for the appearance, much to the disappointment of social media and the families of Brown and Goldman.

“Paying money, cash no less, in secret to O.J. Simpson is 100 percent unadulterated sleaze,” said a lawyer for Goldman’s father. “This is nuts. O.J. is eternally beyond redemption or forgiveness, but putting money in the hands of another is penance by other means. If [Cohen’s] movie is O.J.’s pot of gold, send us the check.”

Brown’s sister Tanya Brown also shared her disgust, telling the Daily Mail, “Nicole and Ron are two human beings who were brutally murdered. This is not a joke, nor is it entertainment.”

Simpson was acquitted of the 1994 murders of his ex-wife and friend, Goldman. He later served nine years in a Nevada prison following armed robbery and assault convictions. His last feature-length film role was in Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult.
