Omari Hardwick is escaping the street life and “Ghost” persona for a bit and getting in touch with his romantic side, once again in the upcoming drama, A Boy. A Girl. A Dream: Love On Election Night.

Written and directed by Qasim Bari, the film, who also co-stars Meagan Good, follows Cass (Hardwick), a Los Angeles club owner who meets a girl (Good) on the night of the 2016 Presidential Election – aka, one of the most intense, disturbing and prominent elections in history – who challenges him to revisit his broken dreams. Of course, adding more drama to the already chaotic night on the political end, Cass’ personal life endures one unfortunate event after another.

The independent feature is produced by Datari Turner (Growing Up Hip Hop), who has a first-look TV agreement with Entertainment One for unscripted projects, and also co-stars Wesley Jonathan, Dijon Talton, Affion Crockett and Insecure’s Jay Ellis.

Hardwick and Good serve as executive producers on the indie project.  A release date has yet to be announced, but we’ll definitely keep you in the loop!

Another cool flick to check out that streams the line of A Boy. A Girl. A Dream: Love on Election Night with a hip-hop twist,  is the 2013 independent film “Big Words” starring Dorian Missick and YaYa DaCosta.

Love to see these creatives tapping into their gifts and curating opportunities!
