Omarosa Manigault Newman is still promoting new book, Unhinged: An Insider’s Account of the Trump White House, and the accompanying tapes she acquired while a member of the Trump Administration. Unfortunately, her latest interview with SiriusXM Urban View ended with the former reality star exiting stage right when confronted by host, Clay Cane.

The dialogue started out simple enough, with the former Director of Communications for the Office of Public Liaisons sharing the doubt she experienced while campaigning for President Trump. Clay then asked Newman why she remained loyal to Trump for as long as she did, inquiring, “What’s the point of sitting with the oppressor if he’s not going to hear you?”

Newman argued that she believed it was important for a Black person to advise, or attempt to advise, Trump on Black issues.

“The people who believe that no one should be there, that there should be no Black advisors, don’t understand that the policies that are being made right now have implications for ten, 15, 20 years down the line. These are implications that our community will feel for a very long time. We need to have someone there. If you’re not at the table, you’re on the menu.”

Cane didn’t see this as an excuse, saying people of color can “do the work” without “sitting with the oppressor,” naming LeBron James as an example. He went on to say he doesn’t believe Newman joined Trump in the White House with the intention of helping Black people.

“I believe you knew he was a con-artist and I believe you’re a con-artist, as well. I believe you’re being an opportunist, and I’m speaking for a lot of African-Americans who call in.”

The two then begin speaking over one another, with Newman calling Cane “ignorant” and accusing the host of trying to create a “viral moment.”  She also called Cane a “b*tch” before making her exit. Skip ahead to the 16:30 mark.
