Oprah Winfrey has joined a growing list of celebrities to donate to a rally that’s calling for the end of gun violence.
The television mogul said she will donate $500,000 to the “March for Our Lives” rally that was organized by student organizers following the deadly school shooting in Florida last week.
Winfrey is following in the footsteps of George and Amal Clooney, who announced Tuesday that they would be donating half a million dollars to the demonstration.
“These inspiring young people remind me of the Freedom Riders of the 60s who also said we’ve had ENOUGH and our voices will be heard,” tweeted Winfrey.
George and Amal, I couldn’t agree with you more. I am joining forces with you and will match your $500,000 donation to ‘March For Our Lives.’ These inspiring young people remind me of the Freedom Riders of the 60s who also said we’ve had ENOUGH and our voices will be heard.

Legendary director Steven Speilberg also said he is donating to the organization.
