What happens when two of the most powerful women (not just Black women) in the world get together? An undeniable force field of Black Girl Magic by way of one of the most anticipated interviews of 2016.

Though difficult to swallow, we have to face the reality that the Obama era is coming to an end very soon. While we hate to see them go, we’re grateful for this time to reflect on their impact and influence around the world, and most importantly, on Black America. And it looks like Oprah agrees.

The media mogul has secured the final interview with Mrs. Obama for “First Lady Michelle Obama Says Farewell to the White House — An Oprah Winfrey Special.”

The show will be produced by OWN Studios with Winfrey also serving as executive producer. The dynamic duo will discuss the first family’s life in the White House, Mrs. Obama’s eight years as First Lady of the United States, and the legacy she’ll leave behind as well as her plans for the future.

As the election cycle has run it’s course, we’ve seen our First Lady disrespected in multiple ways through multiple incidents. This special will be a tremendous display to the world of the power of Black women who respect, admire and uplift each other.

Oprah has an incredible track record of interviewing some of the most influential and powerful people in the world and we expect nothing but greatness from this interview. Not only that but OWN has produced some of television’s most impressive content of the year including, Queen Sugar and Greenleaf.

For this final farewell, the OWN network will team up with CBS, which will broadcast the special on CBS on Dec. 19 at 8/7c before it airs on Oprah’s network on Dec. 21 at 9/8c.
