The Paley Center for Media, a nonprofit institution that showcases the importance and impact of media on our society, will honor African American achievements in television at a special tribute ceremony later this month.
Notable figures Tyra Banks, Diahann Carroll, Don Cheadle, Louis Gossett Jr. and Regina King are among an impressive list of African American talent who will be in attendance. The ceremony will celebrate the achievements and contributions made by Blacks in a wide array of genres such as drama, comedy, news/talk, sports and music across seven decades.
“The Paley Center for Media’s Hollywood Tribute to African-American Achievements in Television reflects Paley’s overall mission to shine a light on the pivotal role media plays in shaping our society and culture,” said Maureen J.
