The Bordelon family is making its return and EBONY has the official Queen Sugar season two premiere date.

But, before we dish on the goods, if you’re just getting in tune with the critically-acclaimed series, get caught up here, here and here.

Due to its relatable and family-oriented content, the debut season racked up a NAACP Image Award for Best Drama Series, won Television Show of the Year from both ABFF and AAFCA, and gained a nomination for the People’s Choice Awards for Favorite Cable Drama. On April 21, viewers can stream the entire season exclusively on Hulu.

And this summer, we’ll be reunited with Ralph Angel, Nova, Charley, Aunt Vi and Hollywood, as the second season follows the siblings on their journey of overcoming obstacles in their personal lives while striving to honor their father’s legacy as owners of his sugarcane mill.

In straight Ava DuVernay artistic fashion, Queen Sugar will boast another diverse and inclusive all-female directorial team, inclusive of Cheryl Dune, DeMane Davis and Amanda Marsalis, to name a few.

Add this date to your calendar: Queen Sugar returns for its second season with a two-night event on OWN Tuesday, June 20, and Wednesday, June 21 (10 p.m. ET/PT each night). The series will regularly air Wednesday nights at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
