R. Kelly’s brother Carey Kelly is doubling down on his assertion that the R&B crooner is truly a sexual predator, most recently accusing his sibling of sexually abusing their own 14-year-old cousin.

“Robert has a control problem. And the only reason why he targets little girls, now that I’m older, I understand. He was molested. I was molested [too], but I didn’t turn out that way,” Carey said during an interview with unWinewithTashaK while promoting his new book, Walk A Mile In My Shoes.  “I became a protector of children. I didn’t want kids to go through what I went through…especially my daughters.”

Atlanta entertainment blogger Tasha K later asked about rumors that Kelly was inappropriate with family members, which Carey confirms, saying Kelly sexually abused their teenage cousin. When asked if Kelly impregnated her, Carey would neither confirm nor deny. He’d rather allow the young woman to open up about the experience herself.

“It’s something that the family kind of figured out and I’d really like for her to tell her story, I really do. If she would speak on it,” he said.

Carey also claims much of the Kelly family has been living in denial due to his fame.

“That’s how he’s been able to sustain in this business as an artist and as human being not being locked away and put up in jail because it’s almost hard to believe that this icon, that this superstar, would do things of that nature,” he said.

Check out the interview below. Accusations begin at the 40 minute mark.

The Kelly brothers have been at odds for years, as the Grammy-winner’s attorneys once implied Carey was the one featured in the infamous “golden shower” sex tape, according to Entertainment Weekly.
