Yandy Smith asked her fans if she’s too hard on her foster daughter, Infinity. On Sept. 21, the  Love & Hip Hop star uploaded a photo requesting opinions on the rules she set in her household.

“I’m going to love you @fromyandytoinfinity,” Smith said in the caption of her post. She went on to disclose what Infinity is not allowed to do, including wearing long extensions and watching TV on weeknights.

“I’m also going to tell you NO to a 22inch weave, belly shirts and long fake nails, I’m on the fence about your eyebrows getting done, we all eat dinner together and nope no TV is a rule on the weekday,” the reality star wrote.

Smith, who has never raised a teen before, then asked, “Am I being too hard on her?” She welcomed remarks to help her navigate the situation. The post received more than 15,000 comments from people on both sides of the argument.

According to the Jasmine Brand, Smith’s Love & Hip Hop co-star Mariah Lynn was among several supporters who believed the rules are beneficial to the teenager. “I don’t think you’re being hard at all,” she wrote. “What you’re doing is called caring, structure, guidance, and I commend you for this. I love this.”

Smith became Infinity’s foster parent in August. Before taking the girl into her home, the TV personality was her mentor. She has two younger biological children, Omere and Skylar, with her husband, Mendeecees Harris.
