Sometimes birthday wishes really do come true, for better or for worse. At least that seems to be the case with Rihanna. Earlier this month, the much buzzed about Bajan performer announced that she would be releasing the full-length version of Talk that Talk favorite, Birthday Cake.

Originally released as an interlude, the Dream-produced track falls perfectly in line with the naughty girl persona the singer is known for: it's not even my birthday/but he wanna lick the icing off/I know he want it in the worst way/can't wait to blow my candles out/he want that cake

As for the cherry on top, she also revealed that the new version of the song would be a collaboration, and through a Tweet, opened up to suggestions from her fans.

"Now heres the trick question! #IF I put collaborator on it, who would u wanna see lick the icing off????? #CAKE"

While many fans and even celebrities like Christina Aguilera, cast their names as possible contributors, it's rumored that the guest star is Rihanna's ex, Chris Brown (enter dramatic gasp here.) Reportedly, Brown has already laid down two verses for Cake, one singing and one rapping.  The last collaboration between the two pop stars was before The Incident, on Rihanna's smash hit, Umbrella

Everyone will surely talk that talk once this single releases, and we can only imagine the controversy that would surround a video. The former couple has already set off a whirlwind of speculation after Brown was  allegedly spotted at Rihanna's birthday party this past Sunday.

Does this collaboration signal a rekindling between Rihanna and Chris Brown? How would the public and their fans respond?
