Social media app Snapchat is in hot water after running an ad that most would deem completely inappropriate, as it makes mention of violence as it relates to exes, Rihanna and Chris Brown.

The ad was for a “Would You Rather” gaming app, asking if you’d rather “Slap Rihanna” or “Punch Chris Brown.”

Snapchat later responded, telling Newsbeat that the ad was published “in error,” but that clearly isn’t enough for Bad Gal Riri, as she recently called on fans to “throw the whole app away” after the incident.

“I’m just trying to figure out the point of this mess! I’d love to call it ignorance, but I know you ain’t that dumb,” Riri posted on both Snapchat and Instagram. “You spent money on something that would intentionally bring shame to DV victims and made a joke of it!!!.”

Brown, on the other hand, is letting his attorney do the talking for him, with Mark Geragos telling Us Weekly, “They should change their name from Snapchat to Tone Deaf.”

The “Fine China” singer assaulted the “Needed Me” songstress the night before the 2009 Grammys, pleading guilty to felony assault and serving nearly five years of probation, in addition to one year of domestic violence counseling.

The pair reunited in 2012, but split once more a year later. They remain on friendly terms.
