If you didn’t know, Solange Knowles is a major key. But with her having such an incredible year, how could you not? Solange has become a #BlackGirlMagic leader in both music, thought and action. And even as the year comes to a close, she continues to make 2017 “A year of Solo.”
In celebration of its one-year anniversary, her Grammy Award-winning album, A Seat at the Table, is set to be released as a limited-edition, red colored vinyl. The special edition vinyl will be available on September 29.
The “Cranes in the Sky” songbird will also kick off a six-performance series entitled “Orion’s Rise” to coincide with her commemorative vinyl release. Staring out at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston, MA on September 28, Solo will also hit Washington D.C. and New York before closing out at The Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA. Combining music with performance art, the concert series will also feature curated acts by Solange including Sun Ra Arkestra, Earl Sweatshirt, Chassol, and Flying Lotus.
