After splitting up 20 years ago, the Spice Girls announced on Monday their highly anticipated U.K. reunion.

In a spoof video of a news broadcast, Emma “Baby Spice” Bunton, Geri “Ginger Spice” Halliwell Horner, Melanie “Mel C” Chisholm and Melanie “Mel B” Brown shared the news. The four appeared without Victoria Beckham, formerly known as Posh Spice, because the pop star turned fashion mogul has other business commitments and will not be touring with the girl group.

According to the Boston Globe, the band said Beckham “will always be one of the Spice Girls and remains aligned with Emma, Mel B, Melanie C and Geri in preserving their unique legacy.”

Singer Jess Glynne will be the opening act of the tour.

Rumors of a reunion began in February after Beckham shared a photo of the five women after having lunch at Halliwell Horner’s home. Then an official Twitter was created for the group in October, which intensified the speculation.

The first tweet from the account was sent on Nov. 5 just hours before the tour announcement. It read, “Our broadcast continues shortly… #FriendshipNeverEnds.”

The hashtag is a nod to their debut single, “Wannabe,” which was No. 1 in 37 countries. It appeared on the group’s debut album, Spice, which sold more than 31 million copies and became the bestselling album by a female group in history, according to the BBC.

Spiceworld, the group’s sophomore album, was released in November 2007 and sold more than 20 million copies worldwide. The Spice Girls were at the height of their success in the late ’90s in what would be named Spice Mania. They were a fixture in the British press for their style, starred in a PlayStation video game and sold merchandise that included signature lollipops and chocolate.

The group disbanded in 1998 and attempted to reunite several times throughout the past decade. The Spice Girls last performed together during the 2012 Summer Olympics’ closing ceremony in London.

Tickets for the reunion tour are scheduled to go on sale Saturday at 5:30 a.m. ET.
