Musical legend Stevie Wonder has given his opinion on the debate regarding whether Bruno Mars is culturally appropriating Black music. TMZ caught up with the Grammy Award winner, who has joined the list of celebrities defending Mars.

“God created music for everyone to enjoy. So we cannot limit ourselves by people’s fears and insecurities. The other stuff is just bullish,” Stevie said about the issue.

Wonder noted that Mars is using his music to pay homage to R&B. “He was inspired by great musicians and great artists, so that’s good,” he said. The singer-songwriter reiterated his point saying, “It’s not about a pass. God made music for everybody.”
