T.I. is helping Houston residents in need by donating a pair of his expensive sneakers to a charity run by rapper Trae tha Truth, per the Atlanta Black Star.

The Atlanta rapper took to his Instagram on Wednesday and announced he’s giving away his shoes.

“OK, so I’m very apprehensive about this, and I don’t know why I’m doing it, but Trae tha Truth talked me into donating my shoes to the auction,” he said in the video.

“These shoes are important to me, because I had these shoes on when I recorded “Ye vs. The People,” so if you go back and check the video, you look, you can’t miss them,” he said. “These are Balenciagas with the neon laces, size 48, European size and nine for America.”

The Balenciaga sneakers sell for $750, per Barneys.com.

Other celebrities, including DJ Khaled, Chris Paul and James Harden, were also enlisted by Trae the Truth to donate their shoes, according to the Atlanta Black Star.

The Houston rapper partnered with Stockx, a sneaker auction site, to run a contest in which a $10 donation would give someone an opportunity to win a pair of the donated shoes.

All proceeds will go to Angel by Nature, a nonprofit run by Trae the Truth that aids poor communities and helps disadvantaged youth.

People can enter for a chance to win by entering the sweepstakes that ends on Thursday, July 26.
