Tamar Braxton is scheduled to hit the road this fall to star in the Redemption of a Dogg, a play based on the life of  Snoop Dogg. The West Coast rapper made the announcement on Thursday afternoon.

“I just partnered up with my main man, Je’Caryous Johnson, on a play,” Snoop said. “That’s right y’all. Redemption of a Dogg and it’s coming to theaters real soon.”

Johnson wrote, directed and produced the stage adaptation of Set It Off featuring Da Brat, LeToya Luckett, Kyla Pratt and Demetria McKinney. He is also responsible for writing this play, which “examines the internal battle one man has between preserving his life-long legacy and losing the love of his life when he is faced with choosing fame and fortune over faith and family.”

Braxton shared the news writing, “So me and uncle @snoopdogg is going on tour😜 singing, acting, rapping and being who we are!!!! your city will be posted soon!”

Redemption of a Dogg will feature music from the rapper’s music catalog including his recent gospel album, Snoop Dogg Presents: Bible of Love.  Tickets for the stage show go on sale on Aug. 10 at jecaryous.com.
