The college freshman was among the 12 victims killed during a mass shooting at a bar in Thousand Oaks, California, on Wednesday night.

“Our hearts are broken. We just learned that our niece Alaina was one of the victims of last night’s shooting at Borderline bar in Thousand Oaks,” a joint representative for the Housleys told USA Today. “Alaina was an incredible young woman with so much life ahead of her and we are devastated that her life was cut short in this manner. We thank everyone for your prayers and ask for privacy at this time.”

Actress Tamera Mowry-Housley asked her followers for information about her niece, who went missing after a mass shooting at a bar in Thousand Oaks, California, on Thursday.

According to USA Today, Mowry-Housley’s niece, Alaina, an 18-year-old Pepperdine University freshman, attended the bar’s Western-themed party with a group of friends.

Following the shooting, which left 12 people dead, Alaina’s college suitemate, Ashley, posted photographs and described the missing girl’s appearance.

The Sister, Sister star responded to the tweet writing, “Ashely this is her aunt Tamera Mowry Housley. Can you please DM me your information?”

Ashley had already been in contact with Mowry-Housley’s husband, former Fox News correspondent Adam Housley.

During the Twitter exchange, Ashley explained that there was no new development to report and that Alaina was the only person unaccounted for from the group of friends who attended the party.

“All the other girls are safe,” the college student said to Mowry-Housley.

Housley asked his social media followers to pray for his niece, whom he referred to as a “beautiful soul.”

At 7:51 a.m. ET, he told actress Holly Robinson Peete that Alaina was still missing.

Andrea Castillo, a reporter for the Los Angeles Times, revealed that Adam appeared at the Los Robles Regional Medical Center during the early morning in search of his niece.

Unfortunately, the hospital was placed on lockdown because of the emergency.

Castillo tweeted that Alaina’s “Apple Watch and iPhone still showed her location on the dance floor.”

The reporter said Adam told her, “Two of Alaina’s suite mates jumped through a broken window to escape and are at a hospital with major glass wounds. As they ran away from the bar, someone screamed ‘Hey! Get the (expletive) down on the ground!’”

The girls believed the aggressor was the gunman and ran until they got help.

Housley feared his niece didn’t make it. “My gut is saying she’s inside the bar, dead,” he told the news publication. “I’m hoping I’m wrong.”

Around 9 a.m. ET, Mowry-Housley tweeted, “We haven’t found her yet. It’s been 7 hrs since the shooting.”

An hour and a half later, Housley revealed he had heard “nothing” about Alaina since the shooting, but he would be praying and staying positive.

Tia Mowry, his wife’s twin, later shared an image of Alaina to Instagram asking for information on her whereabouts.

“Alaina Housely we are praying. We love u! If you know anything or any information please let us know. We love you! #borderline,” Mowry wrote.

There are still no updates on Alaina at the current time.
