Former Today co-anchor Tamron Hall was as excited as ever to share the news that she would soon have her own talk show. Unfortunately, it appears the new program is tied to Hollywood exec Harvey Weinstein, who was recently outed for decades of sexual harassment allegations in an expose by The New York Times.

Hall was reportedly so disturbed by the claims that she called Weinstein soon after learning of the report, and is now speaking with her agents about next steps on the development deal she signed with The Weinstein Co., according to an interview she did with The Huffington Post.

The Temple University alum says she was visiting Safe Haven Shelter for Women when she learned the news.

“It’s a woman’s worst nightmare to be in a situation where you believe someone more powerful has control over your life. I immediately thought about the women who have suffered in silence and were paralyzed by fear; fear that I’ve seen with domestic violence survivors; fear that I’ve seen when I interviewed women who were raped on their college campuses,” Hall said in her interview.

She went on to say that although Weinstein never behaved inappropriately with her, the only thing that matters is what he has admitted to doing and what his women accusers have said.

Hall is no longer completely comfortable with her deal, which will lead to delays in the show’s production.
