During a recent interview, Taraji P. Henson confirmed that she will star in a film about the life and death of Emmett Till.
“I am producing ‘The Emmett Till Story’ and am starring as Mamie Till,” Henson shared with Global Grind yesterday. “That’s one [project] that I’ve been passionate about since Trayvon Martin was murdered.” She later added that John Singleton is also behind the project.
Mamie Till gave her 14-year-old son, Emmett, an open-casket funeral after he was brutally murdered by J.W. Milam and Roy Bryant.
