Tevin Campbell, famed R&B singer, hasn’t released an album in nearly two decades but is still regarded for his vocal ability. On Thursday, the 41-year-old responded to trolls attacking him for his alleged sexual identity and not his skill set.

Campbell, who begin working with Quincy Jones at 11, has dealt with constant speculation about his sexuality following a 1999 arrest for soliciting oral sex an undercover policeman.

The “Can We Talk”singer let the world know is over vile remarks. “I read the comments I done heard it all,” Campbell tweeted. “Ya’ll homophobes gotta fo better the thing you will NEVER EVER be able to say about me is ‘that boy CANT saing.'”

It isn’t the first time social media spread gossip about the singer. In February, after Jones’ controversial interview with Vulture, in which he mentioned Campbell,  the long-standing rumor that producer allegedly molested him resurfaced. He took to Twitter to quell the speculation.

Campbell also said his sexuality is “nobody’s business” during an interview with IMissTheOldSchool.com in 2009.
