Veteran actor Blair Underwood and “Fade” muse Teyana Taylor are set to star in the Netflix film The After Party, a coming-of-age comedy sure to keep you laughing next year.

The new movie will also feature stars hip-hop stars French Montana and Wiz Khalifa, as well as Jordan Rock, Harrison Holzer (Sex Tape) and Shelley Hennig (Teen Wolf), according to TheJasmineBrand.

The Russell Simmons-produced project centers around two best friends spending their last night together trying to get a record deal before one moves on to college and the other enlists in the military.

Co-producers include Jake Stein, Jamie Patricof, Heather Parry, Trevor Engelson, Doug Banker and the late Worldstar Hip Hop founder, Lee “Q” O’Denat.

In fact, Q was the main voice behind the film, inspired to develop the idea because of his love of such classic coming-of-age films as Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and American Graffiti.

Filming began this month in New York City.
