William Stewart is suing his ex-wife, Tiffany Haddish, and publisher Simon & Shuster, Inc., over the allegedly false details she shared in her book, The Last Black Unicorn, about their marriage. According to court documents obtained by the Jasmine Brand, Stewart has named Beyoncé and Charlamagne among the list of potential witnesses.

In book, the collection of essays, which was co-written by Tucker Tibor Max, Haddish shared accusations of abuse at the hands of her former husband but never mentioned him by name. However, because Stewart is the only person she was married to, he feels as though the chapter about him has ruined his reputation. He is seeking $1,000,000 from the comedian.

In the court documents, Stewart included the names of people who can verify that Haddish has a history of making things up. Next to Beyoncé’s name it reads, “has knowledge of defendant Haddish’s propensity for lies and making up false stories for Ms. Haddish’s own personal aggrandizement.” This statement likely references the viral story the comedian shared about actress Sanaa Lathan allegedly biting the singer in the face.

Also listed in the document is radio personality Charlamagne, who has “Knowledge of the public contempt and ridicule William Stewart suffered.”

Haddish and Stewart wed in 2008 and divorced in 2013.
